Pago a la tierra, or Pagapo, is an ancient ritual that pays homage to Pachamama, the earth mother. Ritual offerings of chicha, (beer), coca leaves, flowers and fruits are placed in the earth accompanied by evocative chanting and singing. A centuries old Andean tradition to give thanks to the earth.
