Relax and unwind in the Sol y Luna spa

“Turn off your mind, relax, and float downstream” – John Lennon

Hotel Sol y Luna is an oasis of calm and tranquillity. 43 spacious casitas are dotted around gardens bursting with colour – bougainvilleas and other native plants line the winding stone pathways, their scent attracting butterflies and bees and adding to the sense of peace and stillness.

House of Water

At the heart of the gardens lies Yacu Wasi, our spa.

Quecha for “house of water”, and built from local stone and stained glass, Yacu Wasi offers holistic wellness treatments, perfect for tired bodies after a day exploring Peru’s Sacred Valley.

Holistic treatments

In three private, candlelit treatment rooms, our internationally trained therapists offer a wide range of treatments complemented by aromatherapy and essential oils, for both individuals and couples.

Massages, facials and hydrotherapy treatments incorporate blends of organic, locally grown plants and herbs, as native healing meets modern pampering in the backdrop of the Andes mountains.

Body treatments, including wraps and exfoliations, are sure to leave guests feeling refreshed and renewed, as mineral salt scrubs are carefully infused with aromatherapy and essential oils to smooth skin, relax muscles and sooth the senses.

Manicures and pedicures are also available, ideal for aching feet after treks around Machu Picchu or the markets and terraces of Chinchero and Ollantaytambo.

Wellness packages

Visits to Yacu Wasi include the use of the Andean herbal-infused sauna and steam room, both available at no extra cost, whilst a private jacuzzi is also available for spa visitors.

The spa is located opposite our stunning swimming pool and outdoor hot-tub, the perfect complement to a visit to Yacu Wasi.

We offer a range of Wellness Packages to enjoy a range of experiences and treatments that the spa has to offer, including massages, facials and reflexology, body treatments and therapeutic soaks with a glass of wine; the perfect tonic for those looking to treat their mind and body.

Yoga, for body and mind

To complete the wellness offering, we are also happy to organise yoga and tai chi sessions. Held outdoors in the warm Andean air, these classes are ideal for those who would like to incorporate some meditation and movement in to their wellness experience here at Sol y Luna.

If you are interested in any wellness treatments or massages, please feel free to contact the team and we would be only too happy to build a visit to Yacu Wasi in to your time with us here in our Andean oasis.

Footprint

The name Footprint originally came from our newsletter and we decided to use it for the Sol y Luna blog as well. Footprint fits well with the concept of Sol y Luna: our hotel was founded to support the local community. Leave footprints of kindness wherever you go.
